It is diagnosed using a non-invasive test called ultrasound (more specifically, DUPLEX). This uses natural sound waves and can help "see" body structures as the sound waves bounce back from them.

We will treat the "large" veins which are abnormal. We use laser and glue injection for this purpose.

We treat the smaller veins with foam sclerotherapy injections. We also treat the spider veins at this point. After these procedures, we perform another ultrasound to ensure all veins have been treated.
